A new study by author Setsuko Matoba proposes the theory that the island of Zipangu made famous in The Travels of Marco Polo may not have been Japan, as believed, but the Philippines.

Armored knights were one of the draws at the recent Medieval Festival, a fundraiser for the Oatland Island Wildlife Center near Savannah, Georgia. The activities included an armored combat demonstration, chainmail-making, Middle Eastern dancing and jugglers.
