Christoval Anguiano (Chip Wyrde), an archer in Calontir, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday September 29th, near Hannibal, Missouri.

Join us in the quest to relive the glorious legends of King Arthur and his knights. During the day, the fighters will be challenged to combat as well as challenged to represent the Chivalrous virtues of the legendary Knights of the Round Table. We will also be Brewing display and A&S competition through the day; For our A&S Competition we would welcome displays with documentation appreciated but not required. Location:

Come witness the investiture of the new Prince and Princess of the Mists! Investiture will be followed by a 16th C. Ottoman feast cooked by Urtatim bint 'abd al-Karim al-hakam al-Fassi. Come enjoy dishes eaten by the Sultans, including a tangy meat ball soup, chicken with fruit, lamb with herbs, Turkish "ravioli", several colors of rice, bulgar wheat with chestnuts, and an array of sweets.

The Aethelmearc Heralds & Scribes Symposium will be held on January 26, 2008, in Sterlyng Vayle (Binghamton, NY)(www.sterlyngevayle.org).

The 30th Coronation of Drachenwald's new King and Queen will be held in Nordmark.
The Shire of Gotvik bids the populace of Drachenwald a warm welcome to celebrate 12th Night Coronation!
The event will be held in Munktorp's communal house west of Västerås in Sweden.
The site is partially handicap accessible (need to do a check on site to verify)
The feast (and court) hall has a ramp and everything usually needed to make it handicap accessible.

The Legio V Alaudae (based in Knoxville, TN) is holding a recruiting & demonstration event in conjunction with Austin Peay State University and Nova Roma on Friday, October 12, and Saturday, October 13. For any SCAdians in the area who have ever wanted to be involved in Roman re-enacting, this is a good event to attend.
You are invited to take part in the FESTIVAL OF THE LEGION!
Hosted by the Fifth Legion Alaudae and Austin Peay State University, The festival will be on the Austin Peay campus Oct. 12-13. The event will be open to the public Friday and Saturday (12-13) with available setup and take down days on Thursday Oct. 11 and Sunday Oct.14.

We bring you tidings of Yule in the Barony of Seagirt, which will happen on Saturday, December 8th. There are many changes this year, least of which is the location.
Yule will be held at Luxton Hall, at the fairgrounds in Langford, BC, a suburb of Victoria (directions will appear later on the website). Also, to celebrate the 50th birthday of our own Baron James, there will be a Baron's Birthday Tourney held that day, as well as a Games Tourney (for those who don't fight but wish to compete for His Excellency's entertainment!). We will also have a Feast, a Pageant, Tavern, Horse Racing, Cleavage Contest for the fairer sex (Baron James has stated that male cleavage is not fair) and many other fine activities.

Let it be known that on the twenty-third of February, there will be a Faire to celebrate the arts and artisanal crafts, and this faire will be held in the lord baron's holding known by many as the Pfaelzer Schloss. The lord Baron will be there to welcome all and sundry to this demesne, but especially those who wish to share their and display their myriad woorkes.

We will be holding a sotelties competition in the theme of 'Birds of the Knowne World', a cordials competition, and a competition to select the next Bard of Vinhold consisting of three pieces (a documented piece, a piece in documented style and a Masterwork of the performers best)!
