Join Baile na Scolairi in celebrating their 21st anniversary (yep, we’re finally legal!) with their traditional Halloween revelry. Fighter, Fencer and Archery practice on Saturday afternoon. Other activities as/if interest develops. We’re open to bardic, arts and sciences, pumpkin carving ... just to give some idea. Bring your own supplies. Interested in leading a class? The Barony of Caerthe will be hosting its Fortress Benefit event this Saturday the 23rd of September in Aurora Co. The event is called the Fortress Defender and will include a full day of heavy fighting, fencing and archery as well as the traditional Fortress benefit auction/raffle. The day will be packed with scenarios, including battles to control the castle that will be constructed. Other details are included below in the flyer for the event.

In an epic battle worthy of a Greek Drama, an age old struggle will come to life. Lord Alrik Boleslavsson, Blackwater Keep Defender, will lead his forces in defense of our fair Shire against his own father, the Dread Overlord, Boleslav Ragnarsson and his forces.

Archaeologists have solved a great mystery of Canadian history: the location of Jacques Cartier's 1541 settlement Fort Charlesbourg-Royal. The recent discovery of a 465-year-old pottery shard has placed the site near present day Quebec City.
