The Barony of Caerthe will be hosting its Fortress Benefit event this Saturday the 23rd of September in Aurora Co. The event is called the Fortress Defender and will include a full day of heavy fighting, fencing and archery as well as the traditional Fortress benefit auction/raffle. Archaeologists have solved a great mystery of Canadian history: the location of Jacques Cartier's 1541 settlement Fort Charlesbourg-Royal. The recent discovery of a 465-year-old pottery shard has placed the site near present day Quebec City.
