Coastal Regional Fighter Practice

Not going to Assessments? The Shire of Seareach invites you to come for a weekend of good fighting and good fun. Bring your armor/fencing gear, your A&S projects, and your camping equipment for our Regional Fighting Practice. There will be A&S classes including basket weaving and kumihimo. Please bring any projects that you may be working on to share with the rest of us. Other activities may include thrown weapons and archery (marshal pending). Location:

A Celebration

Warm breezes have melted the snow from our Caledonian mountaintops, and Spring has come to paint our vistas green. The time has come to emerge from our winter's refuge by the fireside, and to play once more on fields of soft grasses. It is time to air our pavilions and tents, and gather together to tell stories of great deeds around the campfire ... and to add a few more tales for years to come.

SCA President Linda Moore resigns to ascend the Northshield throne

Viscountess Gwyneth Felton, modernly known as Linda Moore, found herself in an unusual but pleasant position last weekend, as her friend, Siegfried von Kulmbach, who had asked her leave to fight for her in Northshield Crown Tournament, won the tournament and the right to name her Princess. As a result, Ms. Moore needed to resign from the SCA President's office to assume Her new station as Princess.

Swords and swordplay entertain and educate public at Pottstown, Pennsylvania

At Their recent Crown Tournament, the King and Queen of Calontir announced that THL Trevor and THL Svana will be the new Baron and Baroness of Forgotten Sea.

Medieval reenactors and renn faire raise funds for charity in Mississippi

Representatives from the SCA joined renaissance faire performers and other reenactment groups to perform for the public in southern Missippi, raising funds for several charitable programs.

Hunting Season

The hunting horn sounds again, deer are getting ready to flee, hunters' calls can be heard from all sides. It is Hunting Season again! For the sixth year the shire of "Ad Flumen Caerulum" opens the hunting season and once more invites all archers to celebrate the begin of the hunt with us. The archery competition will be held on a beautiful field archery course in the alps south of Vienna. This gives an opportunity to test your archery skills by walking through beautiful woods, trying to find the targets, and hopefully hitting them. Location:

Lochac May Crown results

The populace of the Kingdom of Lochac gathered in the Shire of Bordercros on the second Saturday of May, AS XXXXI, in the company of their much loved King and Queen, Aedwarde and Yolande, to participate in and witness the Crown Tourney that would ensure the succession should anything (forfend the very notion!) happen to Their Royal Majesties.

It's official: The world's largest trebuchet is in New Zealand. It's large enough to throw an automobile and is painted in camouflage for secrecy.

Historic Pilleth Battlefield to be Auctioned

An action group has been formed to save a hillside pasture near Knighton, Powys, Wales from the gavel. The 30-acre field is the site of the Pilleth Battlefield where Welsh rebel Owain Glyndwr clashed with English soldiers in 1402.
