The Canton of Aire Faucon in the Barony of the Sacred Stone will be hosting an event to welcome newcomers to the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) in Western North Carolina near Rutherfordton on August 26,2006. All interested members and friends of the SCA are encouraged to come and bring along a friend.

Join us for our annual skirmish with our neighbors to the east, the Barony of Northwoods.
Site opens at noon on June 16 and closes at noon June 18
All campers must be off site by noon on Sunday. We appreciate your cooperation.
Three cabins on camp sites 7, 9, and 10 to benefit the Royal Travel Fund were auctioned off at a silent auction concluded at Coronation.
Please help contain the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer and do not bring your own firewood to Bertha Brock Park from Eastern Michigan (or other quarantined areas) to the park. Firewood is available for sale near the ball field. Split fire wood will be available near the maintenance building for a reasonable price.

From a report from the Owners, AJ & Andrew, it appears that the Inner Vagabond, a migratory middle-eastern styled coffee house, jewelry and household goods shop, was destroyed by fire on Mother's Day. There was no loss of life, only personal goods.

Not going to Assessments? The Shire of Seareach invites you to come for a weekend of good fighting and good fun. Bring your armor/fencing gear, your A&S projects, and your camping equipment for our Regional Fighting Practice. There will be A&S classes including basket weaving and kumihimo. Viscountess Gwyneth Felton, modernly known as Linda Moore, found herself in an unusual but pleasant position last weekend, as her friend, Siegfried von Kulmbach, who had asked her leave to fight for her in Northshield Crown Tournament, won the tournament and the right to name her Princess. As a result, Ms. Moore needed to resign from the SCA President's office to assume Her new station as Princess.
