The Barony of Stonemarche would like to invite one and all to the Incipient College of St. Cuthbert (University of New Hampshire) for a day of archery, fighting and general enjoyment. This year St. Cuthbert's will be hosting the Baronial Archery Tournament to choose new Champions for their Excellencies, Baron Juan Lazaro Ramirez Xavier and Baronessa Signora Maria Pagani. There will also be a competition to determine our new Baronial Youth Archer.

The Armour Research Society will be having its annual conference in Chicago. This year we are flying in some of the biggest names in the field of arms and armour from all over the world to be our speakers. These are the guys who wrote the book on the topic (I mean that literally.) Included in this illustrious group will be.

This seasonally-themed event should find something for everyone--use your wits, might, and/or creativity to earn points for your season. Participants should come prepared to enter the Mythical Quest, fight in a variety of seasonally-themed tournaments, enter the Bardic Competition, display A&S project, and enjoy the revelry at the Masked Feast! A collection of 16 manuscripts from medieval Timbuktu will go on display in Johannesburg, South Africa this month for the first time. The works are part of a 30,000 manuscript discovery from the city which was founded in the year 1100.

Alex Hildred, Excavation Director for the Mary Rose project, believes that they may have discovered the tudor rose figurehead for the ship. The paddle-shaped, decorative piece of oak was uncovered recently in a planned attempt to raise one of the ship's main beams.

Master Stephan of Durham, the Seneschal of Gleann Abhann, says that the new Kingdom's first Coronation has been rescheduled for November 5, 2005 at a site in Louisiana. The milestone event had been postponed indefinitely due to the devastation from Hurricane Katrina.
