The hunting horn sounds again, deer are getting ready to flee, hunters' calls can be heard from all sides. It is Hunting Season again! For the sixth year the shire of "Ad Flumen Caerulum" opens the hunting season and once more invites all archers to celebrate the begin of the hunt with us. The archery competition will be held on a beautiful field archery course in the alps south of Vienna. This gives an opportunity to test your archery skills by walking through beautiful woods, trying to find the targets, and hopefully hitting them.

Encampment at the Castle is a weekend camping event held on the beautiful grounds of an old laid-stone reformatory that is being turned into a museum, and which looks somewhat like a castle. This facility was the site for the on-location scenes in the movie The Shawshank Redemption (rent the movie and look at the flyover shot during the opening credits!).
Activities will include an armored Pas de Armes, rapier, and boffer combat, archery and thrown weapons.
More information at the event web site: http://home.columbus.rr.com/cconrad6/encampment/.
